Import

How to import your skin

Once your skin is exported, applying it takes about a minute: open Minecraft Bedrock, go to the dressing room, and choose your saved PNG file from your device. The exact taps differ slightly between iOS and Android, so we keep a tested walkthrough for both.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What format does Skin Maker export?

Skins export as standard PNG files — the format Minecraft Bedrock expects. You can save the file to your device's photo library or files, or share it directly to another app.

What skin sizes are supported?

The editor works with the standard 64×64 pixel skin canvas used by current Minecraft versions. Older 64×32 skins can be imported and are placed onto the modern layout for editing.

Can I make skins for both classic and slim models?

Yes. You can design for the classic model (4-pixel-wide arms) or the slim model (3-pixel-wide arms) and check both in the 3D preview. Pick the model that matches your in-game character settings before exporting.

Which platforms is the app available on?

Skin Maker runs on iPhone and iPad (listed on the App Store as "AI Skin Maker & Editor") and on Android (listed on Google Play as "Skin Maker & 3D Editor"). The store names differ, but both are official JoyTellect apps with the same core editor.

Does the app cost anything?

Free to download with optional in-app purchases. You can create, edit and export skins without paying; optional purchases unlock extra content and conveniences.

My skin isn't showing up in the game — what should I do?

First, confirm you exported the skin as a PNG and selected the correct model type (classic or slim). If it still doesn't appear, the support hub has troubleshooting steps for import issues on each platform and a way to contact us directly.
